Isaiah 1:18 ~ “Come now, let’s settle this” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.”
Please don’t read over that verse too quickly. Go back, read it again and this time allow God’s word, God’s love, to wash over you, to cleanse you. You don’t have to live your life as if you are in the red; as if you aren’t enough, or as if you have a debt to pay. As wretched and sinful as we are, God still loves us. He loves us even when we have the bad attitude and are unkind, unloving to one another; even when we are mean spirited, jealous, envious, manipulative, arrogant, unfaithful, and impatient. God looks beyond our sinful hearts and loves us in spite of ourselves. Oh, thank God for His cleansing! Thank God, that He washes all our filth away, and all we have to do is accept Him, accept and confess Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Thank God that He sent His Son to pay our debt. Our works will never get us “clean” enough, but when we realize just how much was sacrificed for us and just how much God loves us, it sets our heart toward God. And when our heart is yielded to God, our desire should be to serve and live a life pleasing to Him. Don’t let Satan’s lies or tricks fool you in to thinking you have done too much wrong for God to use you. We don’t have to live in the red anymore, our debt has been paid. Even though we will fall short every day, we must keep pressing to live a Christ like life. Too much was sacrificed for us to live any other way. God can and will use the least of us.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for giving Your Son, Jesus as a sacrifice for our sins. Thank you for cleansing us. We surrender our heart to Your will and Your purpose. Amen.
Purpose in Action: Spend time in prayer seeking God’s will for how He wants to use you for His purpose and glory. Then step out in faith to do what God has shown you.
For His Purpose,
