1 Peter 5:10 ~ In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.
This scripture reminds us that God uses our struggles, challenges, and suffering to strengthen us and to help us develop a firm foundation in our relationship with Him. It is through our challenges that we typically draw closer to God and our relationship with Him becomes more intimate. Our kind, gracious and merciful Father desires that intimacy most of all from us.
As His children, He desires to bless us and give us the desires of our heart but we must remember to put Him first. Matthew 6:33 states “seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” So if you are struggling right now, know that it is all in God’s hands and He has a plan to restore us.
Remember, He promised weeping may endure for the night but joy comes in the morning. (Psalm 30:5) Hold on, don’t give up, God has not forgotten you. He is working it out for your growth and His glory.
Prayer: Lord, we know that You have not forgotten us and that You are working all things out for our good. We trust You and give You all the praise as we wait for You to restore us. Amen
Purpose in Action: What are you struggling with today? Take time to pray about it and allow God to show you His purpose in it all.
For His Purpose,
