John 4:34~ The Jesus explained: “My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing His work.”
Are you experiencing a spiritual drought? Is your spirit hungry for something more? As Jesus explains in this verse, true nourishment for our spirit comes from doing the will of God. It comes from being obedient to the word of God and by pursuing the purpose God has for each of us. Are you feeding your spirit daily; making sure you have a balance diet of prayer, worship, devotional time, and time of service? We all have been commissioned by Christ to go and make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20). And God has given each of us gifts to use to help reach others. For some it may be to preach, teach, sing, or to encourage; for others it may be a place of service in the church or community. Whatever your gifts may be, are you using them to glorify God and to be a blessing to others? When we become more deliberate about using our gifts to be a witness for Christ, our own spirits are nourished. By feeding others, we feed ourselves.
Prayer: Lord, quench our thirst for more, that only You can. Direct our path and show us how to be a blessing to others; so that You are glorified.
Purpose in Action: How are you using the gifts God has given to bless others?
