John 11:40 ~ Jesus responded, “Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?”
This is Jesus’ response to Martha after the death of her brother Lazarus. Jesus then looked up to heaven and said “Father, thank you for hearing me. You always hear me, but I said it out loud for the sake of all these people standing here, so that they will believe you sent me.” Jesus then shouted for Lazarus to come out and he did. (Luke 11:41-44) Just like God heard the prayers of Jesus, He hears our prayers. Sometimes when we experience a long silence, we think God has not heard us or just isn’t going to move in our situation the way we desire. One thing for sure, God hears His children and He always moves in the way that is best for us. We must remain steadfast in our faith, trusting that God will respond and that in His response we will experience God’s glory.
Don’t stop believing in the miraculous power of God. I love the saying, “Believe in miracles… they happen every day.” They do happen every day but so often we do not take the time to recognize them. God is at work all around us, bringing to life those things that we thought were dead. He desires to show His children His glory. He just asks that we believe and trust in Him. What are you believing God for today? Trust that God is working a miracle for your situation.
Prayer: Lord, we thank you for the miracle of life that You give to us each day. You know the desires of our heart. We pray that those desires align with Your will. If not, please shape us to desire what You have for us because we trust and believe that You know what is best for us. We praise You as we stand in faith, believing in You, and wait patiently for Your miracles to manifest in our lives. Amen.
